SR75 Beach Racing started with four-time Enduro World Champion, David Knight MBE joined the team in 2018 to compete in Weston Beach Race and other one-off beach race events.
Since joining the team, Knighter has already won the Douglas Isle of Man Beach Race and his huge social influence has benefited both the team and Suzuki. Knighter put in an incredible performance at Weston Beach Race to finish 6th overall, and that was less than 2 months after breaking his back! Knighter was running as high as 2nd position during the race and dropped a few places in the second half of the race due to not being able to lift his head as a result of his back injuries!
Knighter has actively praised his SR75 Suzuki RM-Z450 race bike. A professional photoshoot was carried out and the assets have been shared far and wide on the internet and social media.
Also competing on SR75 Suzuki Beach Racing machinery at the 2018 HydroGarden Weston Beach Race were SR75 Suzuki youth team riders Luke Oldfield and Howard Wainwright. Both riders put in incredible performances in the gruelling three hour endurance race to finish 30th and 31st overall. Both Luke and Howard were riding Suzuki RM-Z450 machinery which was specially prepare by SR75 team manager Geoff Walker. The bikes performed flawlessly and are a credit ot just how good these amazing machines are in terms of performance and reliability straight out of the crate.
We plan to expand our efforts with more representation at international beach races in partnership with an experienced, world class rider, proving the teams diversity and competitiveness in a range of disciplines.
