SR75 Suzuki and Dylan Woodcock experienced another great but tough night at SX Tour Round 2 – Supercross St Georges de Montaigu last weekend.

In qualifying, there was less than a second covering all riders from 2nd to 11th place on the not so technical track and Dylan posted a solid lap time.

In the semi-final, Woodcock collided with another rider right out of the gate, leaving him in last place, but he pushed hard and made some amazing passes throughout the race, eventually finishing in an impressive 5th place.

In the final, there was complete chaos at the first turn and Dylan was amazing yet again, coming through the pack right up to 7th place. He was closing the gap on the riders in front and pushing for a top 5 finish when we started to struggle with a little fatigue during the last two laps. An unfortunate collision with another rider on the final lap dropped Dylan down to a final position just outside the top 10.

As this was only Dylan’s second experience at the highly-competitive French SX Tour, he is learning all the time and took lots of positives from the event. Dylan is still getting used to main events starting around midnight and he and the team will be working towards race wins.

Dylan Woodcock #275 commented, “Last Weekend wasn’t my best, I won’t lie. My riding was good, I just struggled in the main and made some silly mistakes, but we know what we need to work on moving forward and I am 100% working on the things that can be better, for sure.
Now i’m back to training and riding before the 3rd round of the SX Tour, where i’m looking to turn it all around.”

Geoff Walker, Team Owner added “Dylan raced amazingly again today and we are really happy with 99% of our race day. It’s a big ask to learn the format with the main event at that time but DW is ready for every challenge with a smile on his face. We missed an opportunity as we were in a position to move into the top 3 in the championship but this is Supercross and anything can happen. Thanks as always to our team partners and we cannot wait to get back on track and send it!”
