The SR75 Suzuki team and Charles Lefrançois capped off an amazing tour of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross championship by qualifying for the main event and scoring points at the season finale in Las Vegas at the weekend! Charles finished a very credible 19th place in the main event at Las Vegas against the best supercross riders in the world, just to qualify for this fantastic event is a huge achievement for the rider and the team.
Lefrançois travelled out to the USA for 4 of the final 5 AMA supercross rounds in Houston, Nashville, Denver and Las Vegas and he qualified for the main event at every round apart from Nashville, where he missed out by just one place! Overall Charles scored 11 championship points, which is a massive result in the highest class of supercross racing on the planet.
Geoff Walker, Team Owner, commented “I’m so proud of what we have achieved as a team! To be one of the only teams from outside the US to score points at this global level is insane and we’ve proved what we as a team, rider and our Suzuki RM-Z450 machinery are capable of! Charles has certainly done the SR75 team name proud over the last few weeks in the states! A huge thank you to all of our team sponsors and partners, none of this would be possible without you! We can’t wait to be back again in the future!”
Charles Lefrançois, added: “My dreams have come true this year, competing in the AMA Monster Energy Supercross is as good as it gets and i’m absolutely ecstatic to have qualified for the mains and scored some amazing points! Thank you so much to the SR75 team and all the team partners for making it happen!”
