The SR75 Suzuki team achieved two fantastic finishes in the gruelling 2021 Weston Beach Race with Nev Bradshaw finishing in 24th place and Luke Oldfield in 31st place out of the 1,000 riders that lined up for the event!

Nev Bradshaw joined the team as part of a last minute deal just 24 hours before the race, the experienced South African has lots of British MX championships wins to his name and was an awesome fit with the SR75 Suzuki team dynamic. Nev jumped on the team’s special RM-Z250 race bike with the number 100 in celebration of Suzuki’s 100 year anniversary. The RM-Z250 performed faultlessly throughout the 3-hour endurance race on the huge sand dunes in Weston-super-mare and gave Nev the power and reliability he needed to challenge at the front of the race.

Long-term team rider Luke Oldfield returned to epic beach race for the second time with the SR75 Suzuki team. Luke rode the SR75 Special Suzuki RM-Z450 race bike, which was totally dependable throughout the event, despite the very testing wet and sandy conditions. Luke was challenging around the top-30 position throughout the race and brought it home in 31st place at the 3-hour mark, an incredible achievement with 1,000 riders competing, including experienced pros.

The SR75 Suzuki team were fully represented throughout the event with an exciting display on the promenade, featuring 7 SR75 Suzuki RM and RM-Z race bikes and even a Suzuki car. Thousands of spectators got up close and personal with the SR75 display at Weston throughout the weekend, a hugely positive experience for all involved.

SR75 would like to say a huge thank you to Suzuki GB and all of our sponsors for the continued support that enables us to go racing. It was a pleasure to represent the Suzuki brand with the exhibition space we organised and managed on Weston-super-mare promenade.
